Daisy is a concept hair studio designed to be located in the popular Leslieville area in Toronto’s east end. The goal for this project was to create an identity system that would appeal to the younger and creative demographic of the area. Like the flower, the Daisy identity system represents transformation, beauty and youth.

I chose to stay away from the cliché use of scissors in the logo. I did a little research on daisies and found they consist of two flowers in one: the inner section called a disc floret, and the outer petal section called a ray floret. This got me thinking, what if I combined a hair brush representing the inner section with the daisy petals as the outer section. This combination resulted in the final logo design. Overall, I love how this identity system turned out with the minimal colours and feminine vibe.
